Description

Jiangxi Xingzi Daling Wind Farm Project (hereinafter referred to the proposed project) is located in Xingzi County of Jiujiang City in Jiangxi Province, China. The proposed project is a newly constructed project which will be constructed and operated by Jiangxi Zhongdiantou New Energies Co., Ltd.

Prior to the start of the implementation of the proposed project, local electricity service is provided by the Central China Power Grid which is dominated by fossil-fuel fired power. By utilizing wind sources, the proposed project will have a total installed capacity of 19.5MW (1.5MW×13) and contribute net power generation of 38,025MWh annually to Central China Power Grid through Jiangxi Grid.

The baseline scenario is the same as the scenario existing prior to the start of the implementation of the proposed project.

In Central China Power Grid, CO2 is the main greenhouse gas which is generated by fossil-fuel fired power plants. By utilizing clean and renewable wind sources, electricity generated by the proposed project will replace the same amount of electricity generated by Central China Power Grid which is dominated by fossil-fuel fired power. Therefore, no greenhouse gases are identified in the proposed project. As a result, greenhouse gas emission reduction of estimated 37,614tCO2e per year can be achieved.

The proposed will provide clean electricity to grid but also contribute to sustainable development of the host country by means of:

 Providing reliable, zero-emitting renewable energy to Central China Power Grid  Optimizing the power resource structure of grid and Stimulating to the local sustainable development  Increasing the employment and income of local residents  Driving the local industrial and agricultural production, and improving the living standard of local

residents

 Reducing the emission of SOx, NOx and dust  Stimulating the development of local tourism
