Description
Guohua Tongliao Kezuo Zhongqi PhaseⅡ 49.5 MW Wind Farm Project (hereafter referred to as the proposed project) is located in east part of Kezuo Zhongqi, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, P.R.China. The proposed project will be constructed and operated by Guohua (Tongliao) Wind Power Co., Ltd. The objective of the proposed project is to utilize the wind power for generating electricity, which will be sold into the Northeast China Power Grid (NECPG).The total installed capacity of the proposed project is 49.5MW with 33sets of turbines and a unit capacity of 1,500kW. The estimated on-grid electricity supply is105,680 MWh per year.
The proposed project activity will generate greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions by avoiding CO2 emissions from electricity generation by fossil fuel power plants and will contribute to sustainable development of the local community and the host country by reducing greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions of 120,475 tCO2e per year.
The proposed project clearly fits into the development priority of China. It will not only supply renewable electricity to the grid, but also contribute to sustainable development of the local community, the host country and the world by means of:
Reducing greenhouse gas emissions compared to a business-as-usual scenario; Stimulating the growth of the wind power industry in China; Provide 105,680 MWh green electricity annually to NECPG; Reducing 3,157 tons of SO2 emission, 652 tons of dust emission and 1,579 tons of NOX per year through replacing fossil fuel combustion;
Creating more than 20 employment opportunities during the project operation period; Promoting the development of local truism industry.
